Mediation has become a ubiquitous component of contemporary legal practice in New South Wales.  Richard Sergi will explore the importance of ethics in the context of mediation and how to mediate ethically.  The seminar addresses the relevance and application to the mediation process of the Civil Procedure Act 2005, Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014 (NSW) and professional conduct rules under the Legal Profession Uniform Law Australian Solicitors’ Conduct Rules 2015 and Legal Profession Uniform Conduct (Barristers) Rules 2015.
