Join Jonathon Dooley and James Courtenay for some tips about how to run a legal practice. James, a freshly minted barrister, still remembers all his good ideas from his previous stellar career as a solicitor. Jonathon, whose career as a solicitor is an increasingly vague memory, will share how he approaches organising his practice as a barrister mainly working in commercial law. This will focus on practical ideas – such as how to prioritise tasks, how to arrange contacts, and strategies for how to manage people and demands where there are competing demands on your time. Please join us for a session that will be light on dense caselaw but hopefully have a useful tip or two to streamline your 2025!
