Katie has a broad commercial practice and specialises in international arbitration and commercial disputes. She has over a decade of experience in Australia and London working on large-scale, complex and high-value disputes, often with a cross-border element. Katie has acted in commercial arbitrations under most of the major institutional arbitral rules and in international investment disputes before ICSID tribunals. She has experience advising clients in a broad range of sectors, including the construction, infrastructure, mining and energy, software and banking and finance sectors.
Katie holds a BA/LLB (Hons I) from the University of Sydney and an LLM from the University of Cambridge and has received a number of scholarships and awards. Katie is ranked in Doyles as a Leading Arbitration Barrister – Junior Counsel and is recommended in WWL Australia and New Zealand – Arbitration where she is described as “a highly accomplished barrister who is hailed as "an experienced and knowledgeable practitioner in international disputes".” Katie is a member of the NSW Bar Association’s International Committee.
Katie is also the co-author of Global Arbitration Review’s Australian chapter on the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.
